for the “snake meal” event, ten guests were invited to contribute a dish to a eight course omakase style potluck. each guest was provided with a unique custom-made wooden serving board with a pair of ingredients and encouraged to produce an visual composition that presented the dish they brought.

 after recording their aesthetic arrangements at a photo booth, guests presented their dished in squence, combining their boards to create a single large serving board that tiled together all their different compositions to share.
